About Kool N Green

For us, collecting has always been about more than what's in the box.

My connection with LEGO® started when I was five years old with my first LEGO set. Every Christmas brought a few more sets, a few more pieces and a lot more building.

Collecting became an even bigger part of my life through hockey cards. Growing up, collecting cards was something I shared with my mom, and by the age of 13, I had opened my first card shop. Looking back, buying, selling and collecting have been part of my life for a very long time.

From Hockey Cards to Kool N Green

In 2001, we began selling online, originally focusing on hockey cards and other collectibles.

Over the years, we also enjoyed the hunt for interesting things. We bought and sold furniture and other finds from yard sales, auctions, Kijiji and wherever else something interesting might turn up. At the same time, we were interested in environmentally friendly products that we thought were genuinely cool.

That combination gave us our name.

Cool stuff. Green ideas. Kool N Green.

We originally thought Kool N Green might simply become the corporate name behind whatever businesses we created. Instead, the name stuck, and we've never changed it.

LEGO® Comes Back Into the Story

Around 2010, LEGO became a much bigger part of our lives again when our youngest daughter started playing with it.

What started with buying LEGO for her brought me right back to something I'd loved since I was five. Before long, we were buying, collecting and eventually selling more and more LEGO ourselves.

Over time, LEGO became an increasingly important part of Kool N Green.

Today, you'll find everything from new and retired LEGO sets to hard-to-find releases, LEGO Insiders exclusives, complete minifigure series, individual minifigures and our Build Only sets for collectors who want the build without the minifigures.

Collectors Serving Collectors

We've been selling collectibles online since 2001, and that experience influences how we run Kool N Green today.

We understand that condition matters. We understand why the corner of a box matters to one collector and not at all to someone who can't wait to open it and start building. We know the difference between buying a toy and hunting for that one retired set or minifigure that's been missing from your collection.

That's why we take care to photograph and describe our products accurately, package orders safely and ship them quickly. We want what arrives at your door to be exactly what you expected when you placed your order.

We're based in Ontario, Canada, and we're especially excited about building Kool N Green into a better place for Canadian LEGO® fans and collectors to shop.

After all these years, the best part hasn't really changed.
